Terms of service

Last updated June 23, 2026

These terms cover how you use Tacklerow, a marketplace for custom and handmade fishing tackle. By creating an account or buying and selling here, you agree to them. We have kept them plain so you can actually read them.

Who can use it

You must be at least eighteen years old and based in the United States. Tacklerow is US only for now, and we do not support international buyers, sellers, or shipping yet.

Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Give us accurate information and keep it current. You need an account to buy or sell, and we do not offer guest checkout. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk.

What sellers may list

Tacklerow is for handmade and custom fishing tackle. Soft plastics, painted crankbaits, jigs, flies, and the gear that goes with them. List your own work, describe it honestly, and use real photos of the actual item.

You may not list:

  • Anything illegal, counterfeit, or stolen.
  • Items that infringe someone else's trademark, copyright, or design.
  • Anything that is not fishing tackle, or mass-produced stock passed off as handmade.
  • Gear that is illegal to sell or use where the buyer fishes. Knowing your local regulations is on you.

Fees and payouts

Buyers pay the listed price plus shipping, with no buyer fee. Sellers pay a platform fee that comes out of their payout, and that fee already includes card processing, so it is the only cut. There is a standard rate, and our first Founding Sellers keep a lower rate for the life of their shop. The exact fee for any order is shown to the seller at checkout before it is charged. Payments and payouts run through Stripe Connect, and using Tacklerow to sell means agreeing to Stripe's connected account terms as well. A seller's payout is held for a short window after delivery before it releases. See the buyer protection page for how that window works.

Taxes

You are responsible for the taxes that apply to you. Sellers report and pay their own income tax on what they earn here. Tacklerow does not give tax advice, and you should talk to a professional if you are not sure what you owe.

Shipping and tracking

Sellers ship the orders they accept, on their own packaging and postage, and must add a tracking number to every shipped order. Tracking is required, not optional. It protects both sides and starts the clock on the payout hold once delivery is confirmed.

Returns and refunds

Refunds are handled under our buyer protection policy. In short, we cover orders that never arrived, arrived damaged in transit, or are materially different from the listing, and we do not cover change of mind or a bait that simply did not catch fish. The full policy, including how to report a problem, lives on the buyer protection page.

Your content and intellectual property

Makers own their work. The photos, descriptions, and designs you post stay yours. By listing on Tacklerow you give us permission to display and promote that content so it can be found and bought, on the site and in places we promote the marketplace. You confirm the content is yours to post and does not infringe anyone else's rights. The Tacklerow name, look, and software are ours.

Disclaimers and liability

Tacklerow is the marketplace, not the maker. We do not manufacture the bait and we do not guarantee that any lure will catch fish. The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Tacklerow is not liable for indirect or incidental damages, and our responsibility for any claim tied to an order is limited to the amount paid on that order. Nothing here removes a right you have that cannot be waived under the law.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. We may update them as the marketplace grows. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and, where it matters, let you know. If you keep using Tacklerow after a change, that change applies to you.
